And the pics of the week...

I've made a sort of goal to document a regular old moment in our house once a week. So here's what's going on this week.

Here is Will in his funky funky get-up. He was sleeping in this shirt and talked me into wearing it to school. And the glasses? Well, he really likes to wear those glasses anytime he sees them.

Abby is really getting into staring this week. Sometimes staring and sticking her tongue out. Sometimes she'll smile. Her dad doesn't believe me. But it's true.

New Swingset at Club Cupitt

Stephen and Josh got a new swingset. It's taken a few weekends and a handful of workers to get it assembled, but I think it was worth it. Stephen and Will had a blast with Paw Paw on the swings.

Joshua opted out of playground activity and instead decided to try grass. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Abby and Grandma took it easy inside for a little snuggle time.

And that was our evening. Too much fun. I had a good time just watching.

a small victory.

i say it's a small victory, but it's sort of huge for me, actually. today...i went grocery shopping with two kids. that's a little crazy, but i did it. it did involve some candy corn bribery, but that's just how it is. anyway, congratulations to me!

Sick Week

Will was sick ALL WEEK LONG. He spiked a 103 fever starting on Monday and ran that through Thursday. When he was on the Tylenol he was feeling just fine, but man, when he wasn't he was just pathetic. This is what we did to keep the baby from getting Will's preschool sickness. Dad pretty much kept him outside all day. He was fairly happy in the heavily medicated pics above. But this is what we looked like pre-Tylenol.

Hopefully he's got that back-to-school illness thing under his belt and out of the way.

Catching Up...Will's Real Birthday

So we had Will's birthday party a month before his actual birthday, but here's the recap of his real birthday. It was also pretty quiet. He went to school. I'm a slacker mom and didn't bring any cupcakes or anything. Blame it on food allergy paranoia, but the truth is I'm crazy busy these days and he didn't know it was his birthday. Anyway, Nana covered me by getting this tiny cake and saving the day. Here's how that went down.

Abby's Week

So here's what Miss Abby did this week. Now her week is still pretty darn uneventful, but here's the recap. She slept alot. When she's not sleeping, she's eating or crying. She's happiest with a full belly and a nap on Dad's tummy. I mean, really. That is a content little girl.

She also lost her nasty little umbilical cord stump. That thing was sick and they make me dead nervous, so I was thrilled when it came off. It also got to mark a big occasion...her first bath. Which she LOVED, actually. She just calmed right down and relaxed. She relaxes SO much when she's in there that she immediately pees. Now I don't know what to do about that. I'll take suggestions.

Last night we had her "coming out party". But she cried and slept right through it. We all had fun though! And that's a day in the life of Abby right now.
